I purchased a and it worked just fine. The third-party product discussed here is manufactured by a company that is independent of Microsoft. Win7 x64 no longer includes the driver that Vista had, however I’ve found that the Vista driver works fine in Win7.

I have ordinary Aeaptec card and it is the only driver that I don’t have to switch to 64 bit windows. Perhaps that could be of help as well.

Just be sure that whatever model you get, it has 64v pin SCSI connector on the rear. Not only did I have to uninstall the driver and start over, I had iwn7 remove the driver from the DriverStore folder using pnputil per the instructions at the following link: I only hope that these peripherals will be definitively out of order only when I don’t need them anymore.

Hi Ray I tried the U2W first, could not get it to work, I ended up purchasing the exact same card as the OP, It worked without having to modify any code. When Adaptec makes them available – if ever.

I needed this guide to help me use this card in Windows 7 x64 and it worked like a charm. Can you possible post your working file here so I can figure out what my problem is.
